The property
Perched atop a small hill, yet secluded from the other two cabins on the property, this beautiful cabin offers the bird's eye view of the entire Terrapin Hideaway property with access to the Terrapin Hideaway Pond.
Inside, you'll find everything you need for a comfortable stay designed for up to 4 people, including a fully equipped kitchen, 1 bedroom with a queen size bed, and a cozy living area with a pullout queen sofa. Large windows offer breathtaking views of the surrounding serene countryside and a view of the Terrapin Hideaway Pond.

There are 3 cabins on the Terrapin Hideaway property. While all three cabins are reasonably distant from each other and private to each of its own, please understand that there will be other guests sharing the property during your stay, so please be respectful and cordial to your fellow neighbors as you enjoy the entirety of Terrapin Hideaway property together.

Perfect Getaway
My only regret is that we didn't stay longer! This property is gorgeous. Quiet and cozy. It was the perfect escape from busy city life. I highly recommend stargazing. We were able to see the milkyway and multiple shooting stars! This trip was one to remember, thank you so much to the hosts! We hope to visit again in the future.
Wonderful stay
My daughter and I spent a fantastic weekend at Honu. The peace and quiet of nature were just what I needed. The cabin is extremely well appointed and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is perfect for cooking a full meal. We made a short drive to Ash Cave for a short hike. So beautiful. A baby deer and its mom visited us each day. Everything we were hoping for. Thanks for a great weekend.
Loved our Stay!
We loved our stay with Terrapin at the Honu retreat. My husband and I stayed with our dog and had the perfect spot on the hill for privacy and a pretty view of the pond. This property was within 20-25 min of anything we needed & various Hocking Hills hikes. Cabin itself was clean, cute and the perfect retreat to come back to after a morning hike. My husband loved having the pond to fish in and the hot tub to relax in. We will definitely stay again if we make another trip to Hocking Hills.
Beautiful location & cabin
We spent our anniversary at Honu with our dog and had a great time. The property overlooking the 3 cabins is really beautiful and so much more than just a cabin built on some land. We followed part of the walking trail which is a nice part of the property (be prepared and watch out for ticks), walked the driveway a couple times a day, and sat by the pond every day. The interior is so mindfully decorated and just adds to that serene getaway feel. Y'all really made us feel at home - excellent bathroom toiletries and the kitchen had nearly everything we needed. Plenty of seating inside and outside if you do visit with 4 people. We're not well-traveled in the HH area but we've stayed enough times where we can appreciate the price per night. We'll be back, and maybe check out the pond slider next time instead.

A nice location with a clean, comfortable and well-appointed cabin. Staff was super helpful by email with prompt replies and great follow-up. Very much enjoyed the location and stay.

Honu Retreat
This is great to place unwind and relax. It is close to Hocking Hills Park for hiking. The amenities are excellent. The owners were very nice and made themselves available for any questions.
Honu Retreat
If you are looking for a relaxing weekend get away this is the place to go. Although there were the cabins near by we felt like we had so much privacy. The best part about this cabin is the people who own it. It was so easy to get ahold of them and ask them questions. 10/10 and we will be back!
