Beautiful and Peaceful
We stayed 4 nights Mon - Fri. This was a great experience. Everything was well or the organized and exactly as stated in the descriptions. In fact it was better than I invisioned. Our dogs had a great time. My wife and I also got enjoyed the beauty and peace that was well beyond our expectations. If you are thinking about coming here just do it. You will not regret making the decision to stay here!
Magical
This is one of the few places that looks better than the pictures you see ! We loved everything from the breathtaking view inside out to how clean and organized everything was !
A serene escape
The pristine Pond Slider Studio Cabin was more than anything I could have expected. Perfectly furnished, squeaky clean, with every detail considered. The Pond Slider offers near 360 degree views of the gorgeous property. The private dock, grilling patio, hot tub with outdoor shower, and beautiful stone firepit offer a wide variety of places to sit and take it all in. We originally booked for two nights but couldn't not bring ourselves to leave, so we opted for a third night. This place really took vision to create, and I applaud the owners for how well they keep up the property. We saw a rolling complement of groundworkers, housekeeping, and hot tub service folk, all of which give the distinct impression that the properties are well tended and the guests' comfort and enjoyment are top priority. We can't wait to go back. It was a truly wonderful, even spiritual experience to enjoy staying somewhere so peaceful and secluded.
Beautiful
My partner and I just had a 3 night stay at the Pond Slider studio cabin. From the moment we arrived we were absolutely smitten. The cabin was beautifully clean, well provisioned, and inviting. The staff was prompt in their responses to our questions. We were originally scheduled for a two night stay but on the second evening we decided to book another day. We couldn't bring ourselves to leave. The scenery is gorgeous, the views from the cabin are beautiful and the bed is situated in a way that makes it easy to enjoy the views upon waking. The bullfrogs on the pond and the bird population gave a wonderful soundtrack to our stay. The cabin was a perfect size for two adults and a dog. We have every intention of returning. It's just beautiful. Thank you so much.
Amazing Cabin and Views - First Solo Hiking Trip ******* 10+ stars
I am a 60 year old woman who has never taken a solo personal trip in my life. I love to hike and have been to Hocking Hills many times with others to enjoy the beauty of this area. I decided to take my first solo trip as my husband isn't a big fan of hiking. When I arrived at this property, I was simply in awe. The surroundings are amazing. The sunsets inspiring as well as the cabin , pond, dock and firepit. It was a perfect size for me and I still can't decide if I liked the outdoor area more than the view from the bed when you go to sleep. They thought of everything. This was the most inspiring , calm and tranquill trip I have ever taken and I travel alot. I hiked for 3 days, enjoyed fires, grilling out and a glass or two of wine each night. I also had a wonderful massage and salt scrub the last day I was there at the Inn at Cedar Falls. I am already planning my return to this very special place. Although I would love to share this beautiful experience with someone else, I know it will be "my" special place and simply share pics. Just amazing!!
Honeymoon Getaway
This was the perfect romantic place to escape for our mini honeymoon. The property provides the perfect landscape for wedding photos. Picture perfect views with so many places to relax from the fire pit, hottub, and the private dock. Close proximity to the state park for exploring. If you have a long stay I would suggest bringing a cooler because the small fridge is more of a weekend fridge. The bed was very comfortable and the views from the cabin over the pond were gorgeous. Highly recommended.
Perfect spot for newly weds!
We traveled over to the cabin for our honeymoon. We were greeted by a beautiful pond and got to enjoy natural sleep sounds from the waterfall running around the front of the cabin. Relax inside watching a movie, soak in the hot tub, kick back on the dock and feed the giant fish (we called the big orange one Garfield lol) The cabin is clean and beautiful!
Great getaway in a beautiful setting!
My daughter and I stayed here and we had a wonderful time. It is just as beautiful if not more so than the pictures. Our favorite part was sitting at the end of the dock, feeding the Koi (with the provided fish food) and naming them all! It is also situated very close to several locations within Hocking Hills State Park and not too far from a small town to stock up on any necessities. The owners were very attentive and responsive to any concerns. I can see us coming back someday!!
Wonderful rental!
We were thrilled with our stay! Everything was incredibly well maintained and clean. Beautiful property. We got engaged on the dock during our stay so it will always be a special place to us from now on!! We are considering returning to try the Honu Cabin. Highly recommend!
A hidden gem
We stayed at the Terrapin Hideaway's Pond Slider Studio Cabin for 3 nights, with our husky-mix dog and had the best, relaxing getaway! The cabin was very clean, we loved the modern amenities, and the beautiful decor. We enjoyed the hot tub a few times, it was nice to have the outdoor shower right there too. The property is surrounded by several paths around the woods, so it was perfect to take our dog on long walks around the area. The cabin is right on the pond, so we also enjoyed being on the dock and feeding the fish in the pond. They provided the fish food too! The cabin has everything you will need. The hosts were so kind and thoughtful. We absolutely loved our stay -- it's a perfect getaway in a secluded area to be together with our dog. We are already planning our next trip back!
